    • You can opt for following colleges which are best of the engineering colleges in Pune,
      1. MIT, Kothrud
      2. Sinhgad College of Engineering, Vadgaon
If you are looking for computer engineering then you can choose PICT,
I didn’t get which exactly is college bvu as you said, please specify..

      • sir bhartuya vidyapeeth university(bvu). nd will i be geting admission in mit on mains score or on my %?

        • sorry for delay friend, you should go for MIT rather than BVP, your mains score is important for getting admission..

    • Well, I can’t tell you about it’s result, it is founded in 2002. If your criteria matches with any of the colleges mentioned above then it’ll be wise to go with it as these are the best. Also read article on this website “How to choose best engineering college for you”, you’ll find it simple to make decision..You can ask your further queries if you want, thank you :-)

    • Krishna, have you appeared for engineering cet of Maharashtra State? If yes then please check the cut-off list for colleges in Pune. I have written special article on cut-off list. It may be helpful for you.. :-)

  2. Hello Sir, it is great information provided by you…thnx… Sir i have completed my diploma in engineering in Information Technology with total aggregate of 83.25% and i wanna get admission in the one of best college in pune only.. • Hello Sneha, the possibility is very less that you’ll get admission to COEP or VIT. I’m not sure about it but you may get admission to SKNCOE. I have mentioned it in this post. Overall campus placement is good for that college..

    • Hello Ankur, you should check out the cut-off list for that rather than asking me. It is very difficult to tell you about that. But I have something that might be helpful for you, read Engineering MT CET Cut-off List. You’ll automatically come to know about the best college. Thank you :-)

  3. hello sir, I have scored 93 marks in mtcet 2013. Is there any possibility for me to get a good engineering college in pune in second round? please mention names

  4. hello sir,i have got admission in P.V.G (Nashik)mechanical.i have scored only 70 marks in mt-cet. sir would it be sensible to appear for cap round 2 to get admitted to amrutvahini (sangamner) or any other college in open category ,since i have got no idea about pvg(nashik).

    • Hello Vidya,
I can’t give you advice for that. PVG, Nashik is very new college. You should be doing research for the colleges now. Grab cut-off for second round, make list of some good colleges, check cut off for these colleges. You’ll automatically find the answer. 70 is low score for candidate from open category. I’ll advise you to take lot of efforts in doing research of colleges. Don’t end up taking admission to any college. In the end it’s up to you to appear for the second round or not.

  9. sir i have scored 39 marks in jee-mains exam & 62.3% in pcm & would like to do b-tech from electrical & electronics. so, can i get any good college?

    • With such low marks, you should really introspect if u can cope up with the rigors of any engg. course, let alone Elect. & Electr. Such low scores (and that too in board exams, even discounting JEE-M, which can be assumed to be tough) only indicate a lack of understanding of basic concepts of PCM which are critical to understand the advanced concepts of engg. So my suggestion would be to do something in basic sciences and then see if u are fit enough to do engg.

  10. Sir, my jeemain score 112 n rank 135941
so can i get admission in mit pune …direct or indirect…plz tel me…

  11. Dear Nikil,
i have taken admission in Civil Engineer in COEP, when I had choice of production and Metallurgy. Really I have no much knowledge about the branch selection. How do you rate civil engineering in COEP ? Is it ok. or Should I opt for a change if they allow me to. ( please reply considering future growth/placements etc)

    • Hello Vishy,
We can’t compare branches in this way. Every engineering branch has important in it’s own field. Branch selection should be done on basis of your interest not on the basis of your marks only. COEP is one of the best colleges in India. Civil branch also has lot of scope, but you’ll have to maintain good score throughout academics. If you can, then discuss with your seniors too about it. Best of Luck :-)

  12. sir. i have passed my diploma in E&TC wid 81%. i fall under category OBC .and i wanna take addmission in puna university sir plz suggest me one of the best college ……

  13. HEy any one can suggest me i got 35% in MTCET is there any chances to get admission in pune(any average) college.

    • If u have got such a low score in MH-CET, why do u want to do engg.?
With such low marks, u should really introspect if u are capable of being a good engineer. Such low marks in a competitive exam like the CET only show weak understanding of core subjects such as PCM which are critical for engg. So it is unlikely that u will be able to cope up with engg. as things stand now.
It will be better if u join a basic Science stream for graduation and only if u succeed in scoring good marks here think of doing post-grad. in engg.

  14. sir,
I am from west bengal .can i get EE,ME,CE,CSE in MET,Singhad college of engineering, vadagoan or dy patil.sir direct admission in these three colleges can be possible (except management quota).

  15. Sir,
i have passed diploma with 76% . can i get direct second year admission to dy patil akhurdi or kasiba navale clg(except management quota)..

    • I can’t say about it, as SKNCOE has somewhat higher percentage required with diploma, you should ask about this question to the college authority..

  20. My nephew has completed diploma in Tool & Die from Indo German Tool Room Aurangabad with 70% marks. He plans to take direct admission to Second Year Engg. in Production engg. pref. in Pune (or at least in Maharashtra). Which is a good college for Production strictly on merit basis in Maharahtra?
Also, with this score, where can he realistically hope to get admission (I doubt he will get in COEP or in a top college like VJTI in Mumbaii with this score)?
I also saw that there is a Production (Sandwich) course available at some institutes. How has this course been received in the industry, assuming at least 1 batch has passed out for this.
